BEST ACCESS is a state-of-the-art text management system designed for theOPEN LOOK user interface. The large body of text created and reused bylaw firms is structured using NET-ISAM file manager. Pull-rightnavigational menus locate the work by department (corporate, tax,litigation), and then by attorney, client, and matter. WordPerfect isintegrated under the file structure.Scrollable work history windows display lists of documents with date,time, attorney, client, matter, version, and short description. Pointand click on a listing to activate version control and open the WordPerfect document. Automatic cataloging saves the document into theproper file, and catalogs scanned-in documents by reading key indices.Card catalog windows display basic information about litigationdocuments, and are used for queries. Search assist programs and searchhistory windows aid complex text searches utilizing high-speedproprietary hardware. Also featured are conflicts search, automatedtimekeeping and Rolodex, and interface with Lexis and Westlaw.
